The Unique Space
The Unique Space is a wedding venue located in DTLA. It is in the historic Arts District. Our couple wanted the hip vibe of the space. They created a fun wedding for all ages.
As a Unique Space Wedding Photographer, I love photographing in downtown Los Angeles. The area is undergoing change, however, there is a lot of intact history.
The Wedding
Our journey began at the glamorous mid-century Avalon Hotel. In addition, we photographed getting ready on the penthouse.
After that, we moved to St Timothy’s Church. This is one of the most beautiful churches in Los Angeles.
The traditional Catholic wedding ceremony is beautiful. The bride and groom beamed with joy. Likewise, the families prayed and celebrated together. Then it was on to the wedding reception at The Unique Space.
The Unique Space Wedding Venue Party
Events by Emily Kay designed this fun-filled wedding. Emily hit all the high notes with an adult sized bouncy house, cool goodies to eat, and countless games for the many kids and adults alike.
I love photographing rooftop portraits at Los Angeles weddings. Golden hour is the perfect time for wedding portraits. Therefore, the couple chose the perfect time. But the real star was the couple. They were so happy!
From the rooftop of the Unique Space wedding venue, you can see the wedding below. Strolling mariachis entertained guests. In addition, food trucks lined the walls.
The Surprise
Our groom had a special surprise for his wife. First of all, he had learned a special song in Spanish to serenade her. As she came down the stairs, he was singing with the band. She was so happy. Likewise, the guests celebrated.
The Speeches
The moms were the stars of the night. The bride’s mom made a heartfelt speech. On the other hand, the groom’s mom took a different tactic. Her speech was funny. Above all, it was a speech of love. Dances followed along with traditions.
Evening
There was a delicious wedding cake. Finally, a fun bouquet toss aroused the guests. Night wedding portraits at Unique Space wedding venue are stunning, because this is a chance to play with photographing light. Our couple were beautiful against the night sky.
